Members have planned several outings this summer for CCCer's who don't go north to escape the heat, so mark your calendars and let's have fun!

Car Show Committee Meeting on Sept. 8

Starting the 2nd Wednesday of September, our Car Show Committee will be meeting at Dominick's home to work out the details of our 2011 show at Laishley Park in Punta Gorda. Anyone interested in participating on this committee is welcome to attend.

Each month, our "Corvettes" team competes in Chubby'z fun trivia contest. We arrive at 6 p.m. for dinner, and the contest starts at 7 p.m. There's 2 for 1 happy hour all night! The bigger our team, the better our chances of winning again, so we hope to see you all there!

Saturday, September 18 - Dinner @ Sandy Hook, Matlacha

Paul & Jan Boisvert are hosting lunch at Sandy Hook Restaurant in Matlacha. Meet at Burnt Store Grill/Cafe at 4:15 p.m.

NEW MEETING LOCATION BEGINNING OCTOBER

CCC monthly meetings will be held at Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda, just down the road from where our meetings were previously held at Palm Chevrolet beginning with the first Wednesday of October. We will have a much larger room and possibly use of the restaurant before the meeting. The September meeting will still be held at Palm Chevrolet, and we will be accepting nominations for club officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) if anyone is interesting in serving for the next year. We'll still get together at the I-HOP in Punta Gorda before the September meeting.

ANNUAL CCC PICNIC - October 24

Our annual club picnic will be at Bayshore Park again this year on Sunday, October 24. This year, our chef will be Vito D'Amico, Jr., and the club will be supplying the main dishes (ribs, chicken, etc. to be determined). Each member is asked to bring in a salad, side dish, or desert. We also need people to bring games, help set up the tables, etc. A sign-up sheet will be passed around at the September meeting.
